Position Reports to: Production Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
- Basic Function/Summary
Operates machines in accordance with company procedures, pharmaceutical procedures, safety procedures and in accordance with all training. Checks for correct copy and color of the label order, completes all necessary paperwork and inspects the order in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures. Ensures that all customer specifications for finishing are followed.
- Essential Functions include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Operates assigned press or equipment in accordance with Pharmaceutical, Quality Control, Safety Standard, and Operating Procedures.
Communicates with press operators on other shifts to ensure continuity of orders on press and upcoming orders.
Checks copy against approved copy sample.
Checks color against approved color sample.
Verifies that all finishing customer specifications are followed.
Completes a daily log of all orders produced.
Communicates with the supervisor on quality issues.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to use a calculator.
Ability to clearly write worksheets.
Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and simple division.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
