Responsible for ensuring the continuity of production by adjusting the literature bending machines according to the requests of your coordinator and / or supervisor, in addition to complying with customer specifications to obtain a high-quality product. Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Work in coordination with the production coordinator and supervisor to know the adjustments and / or repairs required according to the scheduled production and needs that arise.
  2. Know the operation of the bending machines in their entirety, perform minor repairs and the required adjustments according to the works.
  3. Know how to read and interpret the specifications of the work orders to ensure that the adjustments you make to the bending machines are in full compliance with them.
  4. Establish the priorities that must be attended efficiently during the working day according to the coordination of production work and operational requirements to comply with the work plan.
  5. Adjust, repair, and offer preventive and corrective maintenance to the machines in the bending area according to customer specifications to ensure their operation and continuity of operations.
  6. Monitor the work of the machines adjusted frequently to ensure that the equipment is kept operating consistently and obtaining a product of optimal quality.
  7. Monitor set-up time and production capacity.
  8. Perform preventive maintenance of machines and equipment which includes lubricating them on a daily basis.
  9. Keep the areas of the workstations and machines clean (grease-free, glue residues on the floor, paper test waste on

    the floor, among others) after having made any adjustment or work on it, as well as when you have had the

    assistance of a Mechanic Technician.

  10. Inform the production coordinator or supervisor, with sufficient time in advance, if you observe that any machine

    requires replacement of parts and / or any special maintenance providing the follow-up required for it to be carried out.

  11. Collaborate with training and / or retraining to new Bending Technicians to achieve cross training (“Cross training”)

    and improve efficiency.

  12. Ensure that the work done by the mechanic technician has been effective by testing the machine before it leaves the

    area.

  13. Ensure the continuity of machine operations by minimizing the time of production interruptions “Down time”)

    attending immediately and efficiently in terms of time and service the needs of operators related to the operation of the equipment.

  14. Notify the supervisor of requiring altering the previously coordinated work plan indicating the justifications and changes to follow.
  15. Recommend improvements and provide innovation ideas for the continuous improvement of processes.
  16. Know and control the inventory of spare parts required for your work area. Request purchase of parts from

supervisor or manager complying with the established procedure.

  4. Collaborate with production operators if an extraordinary need arises where it has been requested by supervisor and

    manager.

  5. Make recommendations and support in decision-making, according to their experience, supervisors and / or planning

    on the pending work to be done for greater efficiency.

  6. Be up to date with quality training and be available to take whatever is necessary to ensure your efficiency in your

    work area.

  7. Collaborate with the installation of new machines and / or add parts to existing ones if required for the work.
  8. Comply and ensure compliance with safety standards including established procedures and use safety equipment

    consistently.

  9. Comply with health and safety policies and standards, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  10. Participate in programs and efforts related to health and safety.
  11. Maintain strict confidentiality with all sensitive information related to prices, processes and / or any other related to

    our operations.

  12. Maintain active communication with your Coordinator and Bending Technician, as well as with the immediate

    supervisor on any matter that affects your work area, failures or irregularities.

  13. Fully comply with the regulations established in the Employee Guide, including revisions and / or new procedures

    that are incorporated into the company in accordance with technological and operational changes that may arise,

    among others.

  14. Comply regularly and punctually with the scheduled work schedule, attendance at employee meetings and any other

    shift that is required at the need of the company and be available to perform extraordinary work at the need of the

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum education: High school diploma, certifications in instrumentation or related area of mechanics and/or experience in a similar position in printing manufacturing.
  • Possess knowledge of the procedures of the production areas of lithography production.
  • Preferably with experience in manufacturing processes preferably in printing.
  • Mastery of the information systems and available technology including programs such as: “Syman”, “Excel” and “Microsoft Word” and any other necessary for the fulfillment of their functions.
  • Ability to work with multiple tasks/responsibilities/projects at once within a limited time frame, maintaining
