Who Let The Dogs Out?
Compañia Cervecera de Canarias Launches Caraperro

Compañia Cervecera de Canarias let the dogs off the leash: their brand new addition to the family was presented at the Tropical Fest in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Man’s best friend is already gracing the brewery’s Tropical beers and with the new Caraperro brand the dog takes centre stage again.
Its debut event was organised by the City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Tropical. Besides musical performances, the programme included beer yoga, barber services and a vintage market where visitors could find all kinds of gems from pieces of art to comics or vinyl.
These beers are no lap dogs!
Caraperro is a trio of graceful and strong creatures: The Boxer represents the Modern Lager, a beer of low fermentation that combines several types of hops with a soft taste and a subtle bitterness.
The Indian Pale Ale with its fruity and floral aroma is in line with the English tradition – and so is the Bull Terrier on the front label.
The Presa Canario is the representative of the Yakima Red Ale, a beer of intense character, bittersweet and with caramel malt.
To equip the product range with the “dog faces” CCC collaborated with CCL Label. A combination of digital and conventional printing techniques was used to create the self-adhesive labels for Caraperro. The three vibrant colours frame the well-dressed dogs in black and white. Thanks to the no-label-look the decoration appears straightforward and premium.
To fully follow through with the dedicated design the Caraperro bottles are “wearing” studded dog collars around their necks.
Now that the dogs are out on the market you shouldn’t be surprised to see happily wagging tails in front of supermarket shelves all over the Canary Islands.
