Over 20 years ago the first tequila flavoured beer hit the market: Desperados was brewed for the very first time in Schiltigheim, France in 1995.
The pale lager with a boost of tequila flavour has conquered the world with lightning-speed. It successfully shaped the spirit beer category, imprinting the iconic lettering and packaging design into consumers’ brains.
The traditional design of Desperados hasn’t changed distinctly since its first introduction. The decoration was now revisited to give it a more festive appearance and outpace the increasing number of competing brands.
Brand owner Heineken teamed up with long-term supplier CCL Label to realise the new outfit for Desperados for both one-way and returnable.
Thanks to the combination of gravure and screen the tactile will ensure consumers instantly recognize the comforting and well-known feel associated with the brand. Vivid colours replace the green frame to give a colourful and joyous overall impression.
