San Narciso Rocks Repackaging Using WashOff

Spanish water bottler San Narciso has relaunched their Imperial brand. Originating from Caldes de Malavella north of Barcelona the water is distributed nationally in returnable glass bottles.
With the switch from paper wet-glue to PSL with WashOff technology San Narciso not only improved the on-shelf appearance of the brand – but also their production process.
Rocking The Shelves
The new outfit for Imperial is determined by simplicity and straightforward design. Choosing the picture of a rock for the label is unusual and breaks with the typical appearance of water brands. By combining the photo-realistic rock with the bold black letters of the brand name San Narciso makes a statement that will surely attract attention.
Printed in gravure on transparent label material it creates a modern and high-quality no-label-look. The design blends in with the bottle imitating direct print and underlining the premium positioning of Imperial.
Rock, Paper, … WashOff
By leaving paper wet-glue behind San Narciso upgraded their packaging visually and functionally. The new PSL decoration is resistant to humidity preventing wrinkles and displacement when the bottle is damp.
However, once the bottles are returned and washed the labels will come off. Thanks to CCL’s well-proven WashOff technology the decoration can be removed using the standard parameters of industrial bottle washers. Inside the hot washing bath they detach without leaving any traces of ink or adhesive behind. The labels sink and can easily be extracted from the machine.
