Production Assistant – Finishing

Job Description:

1. Assist and carry the finished printed label rolls from the printing machine to the slitting machine.
2. Assist the operator in keeping a close eye on the production work.
3. Package the finished product for shipping (boxing, labelling).
4. Responsible for palletizing of finished goods for dispatch.
5. Move waste from the assembly line to dumpsters.
6. Clean and maintain the work area.
7. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
8. Perform other duties as assigned, such as core cutting, etc.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required

• Diploma in Printing Technology or industry-related qualification required.
• The ability to read and comprehend technical manuals.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Should be efficient, focused, alert, and eager.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Functional Competencies Required

• Should be able to carry out the packing and palletizing activity in an effective manner and dispatch of finished goods. 
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
