CCL Völkermarkt specially developed this Stretch Sleeve – it is made of bio-based Stretch film and is fully recyclable with the conventional PE recycling stream. In comparison to conventional polyethylene, the main difference is that the ethanol used for Bio-PE is not produced using crude oil, but instead, it is derived from sugarcane. Each ton of Bio-PE produced means up to 3.09 tons less of CO2 thus helping to reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions. Bio-PE Stretch Sleeves consist of 100% bio-based Polyethylene (PE), made from renewable resources and support brands’ sustainability targets. This makes the Sleeve fully recyclable with conventional PE recycling streams.
